The abstract is my passion, both subjective and pure. Starting with what comes to me, I work and play until it is time to stop. Usually, that time announces itself.
Sometimes I can be a bit compulsive, but art frees me from compulsion, opens the windows on a private world, which cannot announce itself any other way.

- My Art
- My Vision
My painting is diverse because my life has been diverse...
I was born in a "Cromwell" house in Gorleston-On-Sea, England, grew up poor in New York City. We moved frequently when our rent was raised and I went to several public schools.
After marriage, I lived in Queens and then moved to the suburbs of Detroit and State College, Pennsylvania.I am the mother of three children, all of whom are artists.
While college was not possible when I was young, I entered Penn State in a Fine Arts program as a returning adult student, graduating with honours while running a household with three children and a husband.
Diverse experiences include choreographing and dancing on stage with a singing group, living in Egypt while on an archeological dig, studying in Greece, numerous trips to many countries with special connections to China, where my life partner, Geoffrey, and I are involved in teaching and being "American parents" to several Chinese students.
Art was never a hobby for me, never a diversion. It was always central to my being. A blank canvas begins to tell me what to do - while there is forethought, the brush finds its own way and I don't fight it. Taking chances when painting is the only way I know to operate. While critiques are very useful to me, ultimately, I go my own way.
I have a passion for cooking and am an avid vegetable gardener and am involved with a circle of "sister" artists, without whom I would be lost.
